Chovet (Gérard) et Luquet (Gérard Chr). Un nouveau genre pour la France, avec caractérisation d’une nouvelle espèce en Guadeloupe : Hypargyria axeli Chovet, n. sp. (Lepidoptera Pyralidae Phycitinae). [25 p.]
La présence d’une espèce du genre Hypargyria Ragonot, 1888, est mentionnée pour la première fois pour la faune de France, en Guadeloupe. Un examen approfondi de la littérature relative à ce genre amène à décrire sous le nom d’Hypargyria axeli Chovet, n. sp., cette espèce américaine jusqu’ici improprement attribuée à Hypargyria definitella (Zeller, 1881), taxon avec lequel elle a été confondue. Sa description conduit à détailler la morphologie de certains organes originaux du mâle et son habitat en Guadeloupe est brièvement décrit.
Laguerre (Michel). Rhynchopyga Felder, 1874, and Apeplopoda Watson, 1980: description of six new species and some notes on various entities (Erebidae Arctiinae Arctiini Euchromiina). [18 p.]
Following a BOLD barcoding study at Guelph, we found, among unidentified Ctenuchids, three new species of Rhynchopyga Felder, 1874, from Colombia and Ecuador. They are described under the names Rhynchopyga herbini sp. n. from Colombia, Rhynchopyga eduardi sp. n. from Northern Ecuador and Rhynchopyga evguenii sp. n. from Eastern Ecuador. Then several Rhynchopyga species were reviewed, redescribed and their male genitalia provided, namely: Rh. bifasciata Draudt, 1917, bona species, which is separated from Rh. elongatus (Dognin, 1890), Rh. semibrunnea Gaede, 1926 = Rh. bicolor (Dognin, 1902), syn. n., Rh. subflamma (Druce, 1884) from Costa Rica, Rh. meisteri (Berg, 1883) from Brazil, the strongly different male of Rh. flavicans (Dognin, 1911), comb. n., which is figured for the first time, R. semirufa Druce, 1906, from Peru and finally Rh. flavicollis (Druce, 1884) from Central America and Rh. discalba (Kaye, 1918) from Maranhão and French Guiana are redescribed. As the genus Apeplopoda aligns within the genus Rhynchopyga, it was also included in this study which results in the description of three new species, namely: Apeplopoda monzoni sp. n., Apeplopoda pseudomecrida sp. n. and Apeplopoda atitlanensis sp. n., all from Guatemala. Finally A. improvisa (Schaus, 1912) was reviewed.
