Vincent (Benoît). Description of three new species of Pericopina from the Neotropics (Lepidoptera Erebidae Arctiinae Arctiini). [5 p.]
A new species of the genus Ctenuchidia Grote, [1866], from Dominican Republic and two new species of the genus Crocomela Kirby, 1892, from Peru are described from holotypes for which a full description of habitus and genitalia is provided.
Mollet (Bernard). A new species in the Genus Illiberis from Vietnam and China (Lepidoptera Zygaenidae Procridinae Procridini). [3 p.]
The male of Illiberis (Alterasvenia) flaviventris n. sp. from Northern Vietnam is described. Morphological comparisons and diagnosis are produced for this species.
Faynel (Christophe), Leroy (Maëva), Page (Nino) and Bénéluz (Frédéric). Notes on the biology of some eumaeine hairstreak butterflies (Lycaenidae) in French Guiana, and experiments to get eggs from wild females. [16 p.]
The early stages of the Lycaenidae Kolana ergina (Hewitson, 1867), Strymon bazochii (Godart, [1824]), Cyanophrys herodotus (Fabricius, 1793), Tmolus echion (Linnaeus, 1767) and Parrhasius polibetes (Stoll, 1781) are presented for the first time from rench Guiana. The larva food plants are flowers of Serjania grandifolia Sagot ex Radlk. (Sapindaceae) for K. ergina; Lantana horrida Kunth ssp. tiliifolia (Cham.) R. W. Sanders (Verbenaceae) for S. bazochii and C. herodotus; Petrea bracteata L. (Verbenaceae), Hiraea fagifolia (DC.) A. Juss., Stigmaphyllon palmatum (Cav.) A. Juss. and Stigmaphyllon sinuatum (DC.) A. Juss. (all three Malpighiaceae) for T. echion; Heteropterys sp. near leona (Cav.) Exell (Malpighiaceae) for P. polibetes. No myrmecophily was observed, except for the last. Some larval instars, the pupa and an adult male obtained from rearing are illustrated for each species. Field observations of two females Strymon ziba (Hewitson, 1868) laying eggs on flowers of Heliconia acuminata Rich. in the forest for one of them and on Heliconia psittacorum L. f. (Heliconiaceae) in the savannah for the other, are also reported. Two oviposition experiments in captivity, using wild live females, are also presented. The method opens up promising prospects for improving our knowledge of the early stages, provided that generic host plants, accepted by a wide range of species, can be identified through future research.
Tautel (Claude).
Sont décrites : Tripteridia singularis n. sp., « Pasiphila » spiritus n. sp., Axinoptera mokwamensis n. sp., Axinoptera nusaienaensis n. sp., Bosara pacata n. sp., Gymnoscelis viridis n. sp., « Gymnoscelis » pseudoviridis n. sp., « Gymnoscelis » dubia n. sp., « Gymnoscelis » fatua n. sp., « Gymnoscelis » barbata n. sp., Democlystia magus n. sp., Sterrhochaeta recta n. sp., « Xenoclystia » pretiosa n. sp. Les holotypes sont tous conservés au MNHN (Paris).
